I will also discuss the importance of sleep. I will share with you some of the ways in which you can help yourself get a better night’s sleep, how a good night sleep will help with your meditation practice, and also how meditation helps you to achieve better sleep habits.

In Chinese culture, color holds a high significance. Each color is also tied to an element. For example, red is fire, white is metal, yellow is earth, and black is water, and green is wood. Chinese herbalists and doctors believe that to properly treat a patient, you must know the state of the five elements in your body. Any deficiency or an excess of an element can lead to illness. I will show you how to use the 5 colors rule for your diet. In the book, there are sample meals for your liver (green foods), sample meals for your heart (red foods) , sample meals for your spleen (yellow foods), sample meals for your lungs (white foods), and sample meals for your kidneys (black food).

This book will help you understand your brain and train it to work optimally in every situation you face in life. For most of us, this means knowing how to quiet it – how to stop using it in order to gain greater clarity, strength, and over all growth. As you age, it is important to maintain balance in your daily activities, giving your mind time to focus, to learn, to think, to rest, and to heal. I will share some basic information with you about the brain. Then I will discuss the difference between sleep and meditation. And then I will share with you a few ideas to get you inspired on how to control your brainwaves. I will show you the seven motions of yoga. The seven sections of lotus yoga were developed by Master Padmasambhava and provided by Master Wanxing. The goal of this series of movement is to elevate the natural qi of the human body, therefore giving it the opportunity to live in optimal health every day. The history of this series of movements goes back more than thirteen hundred years.

About the Author

Celia Ko was born in China, raised in Hong Kong, and attended college both in Taiwan and in Hawaii. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Master’s degree in Religion from the University of Hawaii. She is a watercolor and oil painter as well as a published author in Chinese. She has been the Treasurer of the Hawaii Chinese Writers’ Association since 1997, and also currently serves as Vice President of the association, as well as Vice President of a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization named Hawaii Xing Yuan Tang (Realizing your Will). This organization offers meditation and yoga classes to members twice a week
